Mr. Green lives in a village. He has a big family and a strong dog. He has no work to do in winter, so
he goes to a city and finds work there.
When New Year is coming, he comes back home to see his wife and children. But something is wrong
with his eyes. When he knocks at his door, his dog comes out and bites (咬) him. His wife jumps to drive it
away.
He goes to see the doctor. The doctor gives him some medicine. Before he leaves, he tells him about his
dog. The doctor laughs and says, "Something is wrong with its eyes, too, I think."
When he gets home, he tells his wife about what the doctor says. The woman says. "I'm afraid it's true
(真实的). If a thief (贼) comes in, it won't see him and he'll steal (偷) something."
Mr. Green has to make the dog take his medicine.
