  中世士大夫以官为家,罢则无所于归。杨侯始冠,举于其乡,歌《鹿鸣》而来也。今之归,指其树曰:“某树吾先人之所种也。某水某丘,吾童子时所钓游也。”乡人莫不加敬,诫子孙以杨侯不去其乡为法。古之所谓乡先生,没而可祭于社者,其在斯人欤!其在斯人欤!
